Terms of Service

1. Deposits & Cancellations

  • A 30% deposit is required to schedule service.

  • Deposits are non-refundable after scheduling unless the project is delayed due to weather.

  • Cancellations within 48 hours of scheduling may receive a refund upon request.

2. Payment Terms

  • All card payments will be kept on file.

  • If payment is not made within 7 days of the due date, we will automatically charge the card on file.

  • If the card is declined, a 10% late fee will apply.

  • After 14 days: A 15% late fee will apply.

  • After 21 days: A 20% late fee will apply.

  • After 30 days: We will pursue collections, and the customer will be responsible for all associated costs, including legal and collection fees.

3. Recurring Services

  • Recurring services will be billed automatically on a yearly basis using the card on file.

  • Recurring services are paid upfront, If services are cancelled before any work has been done there will be a 50% refund of amount paid.

  • If the card is declined for recurring services, the services will be canceled immediately, and no collections process will be pursued.

4. Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee

We offer a lifetime workmanship guarantee on our work. If the oil-based stain we use fails and starts peeling before a year, we will restain for free.

  • Any work done to the deck after staining not performed by us will void the guarantee.

5. Clear Work Area & Accessibility

Customers must ensure the work area is fully accessible and clear before our arrival. If we arrive and cannot access the work area due to locked gates, pets, or obstructions, a trip fee of $100 will be charged, and the job will be rescheduled.

6. Customer-Induced Damage or Delays

  • If the customer walks on the surface, moves furniture back too soon, or allows pets on the area before full curing, we are not responsible for any required rework.

  • If rework is required due to customer actions, a minimum service fee of $250 will apply.

7. Furniture Removal (Optional Service)

We can remove and replace furniture after drying for an additional charge upon request.

8. Weather Delays

  • If weather conditions (rain, extreme humidity, etc.) prevent us from completing the job, we will reschedule at the earliest available date.

  • Customers will be notified of any delays as soon as possible.

  • Deposits will not be refunded due to weather delays, but the job will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

9. Material Selection & Changes

  • The customer is responsible for finalizing the stain color before work begins.

  • If the customer requests a color change after staining has started, an additional charge will apply based on the cost of materials and labor.

10. Pre-Existing Damage & Liability

  • We are not responsible for any pre-existing damage to wood, structure, or surrounding areas.

  • If we discover structural damage or compromised wood that could affect the staining process, we will notify the customer before proceeding.

  • Additional repairs may be required at the customer’s expense before staining can continue.

11. Changes to Terms

Staining Grain LLC reserves the right to update or modify these terms of service at any time. Clients will be notified of any changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
